Setting up a home lab on a student budget
A student budget does not need to stop you from learning real infrastructure. A small router, an old laptop, and a few USB drives can already open a lot of doors.
Start with one practice goal—like hosting a static site or spinning up a local DNS server—and expand from there once the basics feel stable.
The biggest win is building confidence through real hands-on setup instead of watching tutorials alone.
